Extension Board for Early Finshers:
Create a “Storyboard That” continuation of the story that begins
where the story ends. You will need to have access to the
“Storyboard That” app, a computer, and some scratch paper for
sketching a plan.
Draw a scene from the short story on a poster. Include color!
Re-create the story from the Mechanical Teacher’s
perspective/point of view. Include dialogue from the other
characters, a conclusive plot structure, and incorporate details that
would align with the original story.
Create a commercial about the underlying issues illustrated within
the short story. Your commercial should be no longer than 45
seconds to one minute and you can work with a partner or small
group of no more than 3 people.
