Topic: Multiplication
Sub Topic: Introducing Multiplication
Day1:
Give cubes or buttons to each group. Ask them to make 4 sets.
Each set should have 2 objects. Now ask them how will they write
about it. Note feedback on board. Now tell them that there are 2
ways to show it. 1. 2+2+2+2 or 2. 4 sets of 2. So what exactly
are we doing? We are adding the same number again and again. But
we can do multiplication too. Repeat with a few examples.
Follow up: w sheet ( repeated addition and multiplication)
Multiplication with objects.( Ask them to write the number of sets
first and then how many objects are in each set and then write
total number)
Day2:
Drill of some tables on their white boards.
Copy Work:

3 x 8 = ______
4 x 7 = _____
10 x 6 = ______
7 x 5 = ______
9 x 4 = ______
Day3:
Recap of yesterday’s work. Both number of sets and objects were
given and they just needed to write the answers. What if one
number was missing? Take feedback on board. Now tell them they
have to do the opposite operation i.e: division to find the missing
number. Do some examples on their white boards.
