Chinese Songs Singing Competition
中文歌唱比赛
Who: All students; solo or in groups (You can invite friends or family members out of
our class to work with you. However, you will have to be one of the singers.)
Song(s):
1. 1 song for 1-4 peoples
2. Pick any Chinese songs learned in class or out of class. If you pick the songs
not learned in class, they have to be pre-approved by the teacher. Chinese
songs only.
Deadlines:
1. 12/9 –turn in all other songs lyrics translation (except the song you chose)
2. 12/13-- Names of your group members and songs picked
3. 12/20— Role assignments and song lyrics submitted (in both Chinese &
English)
4. 1/10— Songs turned in to Seesaw
5. 1/13、1/14—Singing Competition
Evaluation Criteria:
1. Songs selection—should be suitable to your group composition (10 points)
2. Songs length—each song should not be less than 3 minutes (10 points)
3. Role Assignment—everyone in your group has to actively participate in some
ways (singing, playing instruments, recording/editing). You can invite
someone out of your group to record for your group. (10 points)
4. Video presentation
a. Quality of performance—how well your group performs the song (50
points)
b. Quality of recording— pictures and sounds quality (20 points)
c. Lyric subtitles accompanying the singing in both Chinese
characters/Pinyin and English (20 points)
d. Preface including name of the song in both Chinese characters and
English, names of your group members in both Chinese characters
and English, and a message for 2020 Mrs. Zhang’s Chinese
Singing Competition. (10 points)
d. Overall design quality (10 points)
e. Songs uploaded on time (10 points)
Total Credit Points: 150
Winners (3 groups) will be presented with gifts.
