The World Health Organisation (WHO) have long been trying to control and
eradicate Polio. Polio causes muscle weakness and paralysis.
Examine the map below. Blue arrows shows migration and travel of
individuals. Dark red areas show populations where wild poliovirus has not
been eradicated. Purple areas show populations affected by ‘exported’
poliovirus.
 Describe the map.
 Imagine you work for the WHO. Write a list of actions and steps you
would advise for the governments of the following countries to take:
