Relationship between Parenting Sense of Competence and Life Satisfaction among Working and Non Working Mothers: Moderating Role of the social support Presnted by: Adeela khurshid Supervised : Dr.Nadia shafique Introduction • A mother is particularly important not because she has special skills but because she is with her children for a much greater time than any other person. • Her values reflects a very strong influence on attitudes, abilities and behaviour of children (Priyankaaeri & Devinajain, 2010). Aim of the study • To find out a relationship between parenting sense of competence and life satisfaction among working and non working mothers. • To find out moderating role of the social support among working and non working mothers. Rationale of the study • In previous researches social support has not been use as a moderator with the Parenting sense of competence and life satisfaction . • Very limited work has been done in the relationship of these variables. • Only few studies have been done with comparison of working and none working mothers in Pakistan Conceptual frame work Social support Parenting sense of competence Life satisfaction Method • Research design – A cross sectional research design will be used. • Sample Size – Total number of sample will be 300.(150 working and 150 non working mothers.) – purposive sampling technique will be used.
