Presenter: Hello everyone welcome to the foreign policy conference. Let us start off with
environmental issues regarding foreign policy.
Reporter 1: What are some factors of this issue that affect wildlife and us in a negative way?
Presenter: Deforestation is a common problem around the world that is causing a decrease in
the wildlife population. The cutting down of trees destroys the habitat that we share with them as
we rid them of their resources and pollute our air with an abundance of carbon dioxide that
breaks down the ozone layer. The job of this ozone layer is to keep UV rays from reaching the
earth and destroying even more habitats. Global warming is a result of this and can quickly
become a worldwide issue that we need to bring awareness about. Now let’s move onto the
next topic, diplomatic relations.
Reporter 2: What are some ways that illegal immigrants are affecting the US?
Presenter: All the immigrants that are coming over illegally are hurting the US in two specific
ways. The first being that they are taking low position jobs that would immigrants that came over
legally would be needing to have a job. Another thing that hurts the US is how much personnel
and resources they are having to use to protect the US-Mexico border. Each of these things are
negatively affecting the US economy by hurting our job market and depleting our resources.
Reporter 3: In what aspects has our economy been affected by foreign affairs?
Presenter: The United States economy has been affected in many ways internationally. For
example, China is the United States largest economic competitor and tensions have only been
rising in the past years. This tension has paved the way for a massive trade war that is still
happening today. This has shaped foreign policy for future trade deals. While the economy
remains somewhat stable trade inconsistencies with such a large trading partner as China can
send shockwaves through the stock market. Many external international factors can spell
trouble for the economy at any time.
Concluding statements: These topics revolving around the United States’ foreign policy need to
be made aware to the general public and other countries, in order to secure our world.
