Rubric for PreCalculus Topic Presentation This presentation will be worth a total of 12 possible points 3 possible points scored in 4 different categories Please either have your visual aid in ClassShare or on a flash drive (if it’s not a poster) Please bring this sheet with you to class on Monday/Wednesday, I will use it instead of printing up another one. Scoring 3 Points 2 Points 1 Point Preparation of Presentation It is obvious the student has spent time researching the topic, and information is presented in a way that uses vocabulary and ties into current PreCalc topics The student is obviously unprepared; the material is weak, and very little if any of it relates to vocabulary/topics we have been working on in class. Speaking/Presentation Skills Student appears comfortable, and uses a clear speaking voice. Minimal notes are used with lots of eye contact with the audience It appears the student is a bit unprepared; the information presented is fragmented and doesn’t do a very good job relating vocab/topics to class. Student appears a bit unsure, stumbles a bit with lots of “umms” and “ahhs”, and has lots of reliance on notes and limited eye contact with the audience Visual Aid in Presentation Aid(s) is easy for everyone in the room to view and is effective in helping/explaining the presentation topic Aid is effective in helping/explaining the presentation, but is difficult for everyone in the room to see/read Aid does not help/explain the presentation topic Length Of Presentation Presentation is between 3 and 5 minutes long.
