Preparation of
Presentation
It is obvious the
student has spent
time researching
the topic, and
information is
presented in a way
that uses
vocabulary and ties
into current
PreCalc topics
The student is
obviously
unprepared; the
material is weak,
and very little if
any of it relates to
vocabulary/topics
we have been
working on in
class.
Speaking/Presentation
Skills
Student appears
comfortable, and
uses a clear
speaking voice.
Minimal notes are
used with lots of
eye contact with
the audience
It appears the
student is a bit
unprepared; the
information
presented is
fragmented and
doesn’t do a very
good job relating
vocab/topics to
class.
Student appears a
bit unsure,
stumbles a bit with
lots of “umms” and
“ahhs”, and has lots
of reliance on notes
and limited eye
contact with the
audience
Visual Aid in
Presentation
Aid(s) is easy for
everyone in the
room to view and is
effective in
helping/explaining
the presentation
topic
Aid is effective in
helping/explaining
the presentation,
but is difficult for
everyone in the
room to see/read
Aid does not
help/explain the
presentation topic
