What is your impression of high school after 4 years? Was it what you
expected? Describe the highlights and “lowlights” of your senior academic year
at ALC. What are your future goals? How have you changed since 9th grade?

Academic Reflection 500 word maximum:
What has been your arc as a learner? Where did you begin, and where are you
ending? Be sure to talk about all four years. How are you doing in school this
year? Why? Will you graduate on time? Why/Why not? What are your future
academic plans? What does your transcript say and NOT say about you?
Things to look at: Last semester’s grades, current grades, absences/tardies,
PBS points, GPA, credits, LD hours completed. Include comments about CNotes, your binder and SSR reading list.

Academic Statement 250 word maximum: Who are you as a learner? What
are your strengths and areas of need? Which projects, essays, assessments,
and/or questions affected you most as an academic in your four years at ALC
(cite one or two as evidence)? How will you continue to nurture yourself as a
lifelong learner beyond ALC (do not limit your response to college only)?

Supporting Academic Artifacts: May include: binder grade sheet, examples of
C-Notes from each class, SSR book list, After School Lab Sheets, list of all
colleges you were accepted to and acceptance letters, copy of SAT/ACT
scores. Must include: documentation of the projects, essays, assessments, or
questions you cited as as evidence for your academic statement and a copy of
your latest transcript.

Supporting Community Documents: May include: Tutorial Request Forms,
certificates and awards, a list of resources surrounding the community you will
live in next year (i.e. college services offered, community organizations,
important phone numbers or contact names, EOP services). Must include: a

school, a list of 3 supportive ALC staff members and their email addresses, a
