STAR EMPIRE GROUP has been established with the aim of delivering quality goods and
services at affordable prices. The company builds on a remarkable experience of its founder,
entrepreneur Istalin Ali Mohamed who is a well-known Somali-Canadian business lady
Having succeeded in the challenging restaurant business in Toronto since 1999 till date, Istar Ali
Mohamed decided to move to Mogadishu and take part in the reconstruction of her native land.
Which she is doing so well and willing to go an extra mile to make Somalia a better and peaceful
country. She believes in gender equality and as a woman she has really fought for diversity hence
giving so many people a chance to be part of Somalia welfare. Her zeal, zest, hardworking and
motivation has made her take every situation in Somalia as an opportunity for more business and
also get a chance to meet people and educate them about freedom and having liberal mind whilst
staying away from terror.
With this she chose to have so many businesses under her to create job opportunities to the youths
and the educated jobless people of Somalia.

Istar Superstore Warehouse is located inside Aden Abdulle Airport in Mogadishu, offers a wide
variety of goods at fair prices. The superstore is conveniently inside the airport zone for all our
targeted clients shopping needs. The merchandise that we provide includes
 We are the only coca-cola wholesalers within Mogadishu, Coca-cola being an international
company and us being in the International Franchise Association. Coca-cola is a known
company worldwide it has worn so many awards that proves its purity, reliability and
dependability. we have been the trusted distributors by United Bottling Company UBC for
the past three years. The supplies include certified Dasani water, Sodas i.e. fanta, sprite,
coca-cola etc we provide different flavors of sodas like Fanta Strawberry and Fanta apple
 Istar superstore has a great variety of office supplies, clothes, shoes, candies, chocolates,
cereals, beauty and hygiene aids products, electronics vegetables, fruits and many more.
Everything displayed in our supermarket and more of it in the warehouse so the stock never
runs out. We import some of this products from Nairobi and Dubai and some are bought
locally such as sugar, rice, vegetables etc.
 Istar superstore imports products from different parts of the world like Nairobi, Dubai,
China, London and Mombasa and selling them locally. Some of the merchandise that we
import includes used and brand new modern vehicles. We also lease the vehicles to clients
who have short term stay in Somalia such as Pick up, Prado, V8, Busses etc. Thus creating a
