Critical Leadership role Based at Ingleburn The Company: CSR is a building products company that is focused in providing high performing products and solutions for our customers across all building segments. Velocity is a residential prefabrication business with a vision to revolutionise the medium density residential building market by supplying high quality pre-fabricated walling elements. Using specialised timber and various CSR building materials and other components, the facility produces pre-fabricated walls and roof trusses on a semi-automated manufacturing line. These walling elements are finished with internal linings, insulation, windows, services and external cladding. These elements are then packed and shipped to site where they are installed using cranes. The Opportunity: Opportunity for a highly engaging and technically minded Manufacturing Manager to join the team at our Ingleburn manufacturing facility. Having partnered with a major residential developer, the focus is now to bed in high performance manufacturing methods and systems with the view to maximising productivity and ultimately the business potential. As our newly appointed Manufacturing Manager you will drive the design, manufacturing, and process improvement functions and will be responsible for the line operational productivity. You will be required to identify improvement strategies in panel design and systemisation, and through using an inclusive and goal focused leadership approach you will set an implementation plan that maximises line productivity and delivery reliability. key responsibilities in the following areas: Establishing and maintaining a safety focussed culture; Developing and implementing initiatives that reflect the broader Velocity strategy Establishing an efficiency driven, goal focused, and inclusive team Provide strong leadership and direction to the operations team to ensure a consistent high level of service Identifying and implementing productivity improvement plans through a Lean focus Assist in the implementation of manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that our projects, initiatives and deadlines are met. Establish work instructions and workshop drawings to support an efficient and reliable manufacturing process Skills & Qualifications: To be considered for this role you will ideally have; Tertiary qualification ideally in Engineering, Proven experience in a senior operations management role within a manufacturing environment, Extensive experience in reviewing, refining or overhauling processes to ensure manufacturing plants are efficient and productive, Proven track record of professional development of team members with the ability to lead and engage others in driving a high-performance culture, Sound financial management skills with previous experience in successfully planning and managing budgets Strong communication skills – ability to inspire cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes and manage stakeholders.
