1) The force of F = 30 N acts on the brecket as shown. Determine the moment of the force
about the a-a ais of the pipe if α = 60, β = 60 and γ = 45.

3) The pruner multiplies blade-cutting power with the compound leverage mechanism. If a
20-N force is applied to the handles, determine the cutting force generated at A. Assume that
