Preparation: The child should have worked with the material and feel familiar with them. Presentation: 1. Have the child bring the cubes to the rug in the prescribed manner. 2. Select the largest cube and place it in front of the child 3. Select the smallest cube and place it in front of the child. First Period: 4. Touch the largest cube. Say “This is large. This is large. This is large.” 5. Touch the smallest cube. Say “This is small. This is small. This is small. “ Second Period: 6. Say, “Show me large.” The child should indicate the largest cube. 7.
