In the top right hand corner you will see a blue button that says “Register” – click on that button.
On the DS LOGON Registration page, you will select the 3 rd bubble and then press the continue button at the bottom of the page.

You will now begin the Registration Process for the DEERS database. This database houses all information relevant to a Uniformed Service member, and must be completed prior to applying for a
COE via the VA website.

During the registration process you may be prompted to apply for a COE. If optional to do so, select
YES.
At any point in time you need assistance, you can refer to the help center button at the top right corner of the page. The button on the right will allow you to increase the text size if you are struggling to read the small print:
If an option to register for a COE is not available during registration, you may register via the same website above, following these guidelines:
1 – From the link above, go to the home page. In the middle of the page you’ll see this option. Select
“Certificate of Eligibility for Home Loan”.

2 – Select “Register for an account”

***You will now have the credentials to sign-in to the DEERS system. You will proceed from here accordingly to register for your COE.
