Proposal:
School Improvement Project
Good news! W.H Ford has recently been approved for a $1000 grant to complete a school
improvement project. Our class has been selected to come up with 5 proposals for 5
different ideas on how to best use this new found money. Your group is tasked with
completing a written proposal for your chosen idea, and then presenting the idea to the class
to convince them that yours is the right way to spend the grant money.
Proposal Details:
Each group must complete a one page proposal for their idea. These proposals should
include:
● A title that states your idea
● An introduction that outlines what current issue can be solved by choosing your idea
● At least 3 key benefits of your idea. (How does this make the most difference for
students or staff? Is it going to improve students’ lives and their ability to learn? Will it
be beneficial to teaching and learning in specific subject areas?)
● A short conclusion
● Any necessary pictures or diagrams, should they help demonstrate your idea.
● Proposal is typed in 12 point font, single spaced, and shared with Mr. Scherr on
presentation day (only one group member has to do this).

Presentation Details
Each group will present their idea to the class.
● Presentations will be 2-3 minutes
● Not all group members are required to speak, but all group members should be
present and engaged in the presentation
● Group should take any questions the audience might have.
