Amendment 8 states

Hypothetical for Essay
The U.S. should adopt an amendment that prohibits the use of the death penalty in all cases
because it is cruel and unusual punishment.

Gun Control
Amendment 2 states
“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the
people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
Hypothetical for debate
Should the U.S. should adopt an amendment that BANS the use, sale, and possession of
assault rifles, handguns and clips larger 10 rounds for all non-military or police civilians.
