Thank you for choosing OneProd XPR-300, our latest condition monitoring software product, designed to
monitor the maintenance of your rotating machinery.
OneProd XPR-300 benefits from 20 years experience by 01dB-Metravib (formerly and successively
known as S’tell Diagnostic, 01dB-Stell, and 01dB Acoustics & Vibration) in predictive maintenance,
perfected through its various software products: eDiag, DivaLine, SurvaoDiag, Moviscope, Survao,
Vimex...

How to use this manual
This manual describes how to use
XPR-300 Administration. This module includes all functions
allowing for system administration:
 Creation and organisation of databases
 Creation of users and of their access rights
 Data back-up and restoration

DATA ORGANISATION
In version 4.0, XPR-300 allows having a three-level tree-structured database architecture:
 Domain:
 Workspace:
 Database: . This level corresponds to the database level in version V3.0
The data of a domain are completely separated from those of another domain. This allows managing on
the same server users who wish to keep their data confidential.
A domain can contain several workspaces that share the following data:
 Point, parameter and signal libraries
 Users: .
A workspace can contain several databases.
Each database includes its own tables for predefined notes and private bearing references (those added
by the users). Export and import functions are used to transfer this information from a database to
another.

STARTING THE PROGRAM
From Windows’ Start menu: “OneproD System/Tools/
XPR-300 Administration”.
During the first connection, one must log on as the
platform administrator. Default values are:
 Platform:
xpr
 User:

Notes:
 The program uses the same language as that
used for the XPR-300 login. The language can
be defined in XPR-300:
o Menu “View / Preference management”,
o Section “On selected local station”,
o Variable “Login Language”: type FRENCH
or AMERICAN
 The login (user-password pair) used to start the
administration module is independent of those
used for OneProd XPR-300. This login cannot
be used for XPR-300 and those of XPR-300
cannot be used for the administration module.

Right after installation, the xpr platform consists of:
 A domain

The “Platform” mode is used to access the Administration module with the following code:

XPR PLATFORM
The platform can be accessed by the xpr administrator,
who has all rights to change all elements of the platform.
Selecting the tree-structure root allows for the display of
the platform properties:
 Total disk space in MB for the data server
 Free disk space in MB for the data server
 Administrator email address for administration error
notifications.
 Administrator phone number for administration error
notifications by SMS.
 The number of users having reading and writing rights
(R/W) allocated by the XPR-300 licence
 The number of user shaving read-only rights (R/O)
allocated by the XPR-300 licence
The lower section of this window also allows modifying the access code of the platform administrator.
IMPORTANT: It is of the utmost importance not to lose or forget the password. Without this code,
access to platform administration will no longer be possible.

DOMAIN
The creation of several domains allows granting access to several users while ensuring full separation
between the data of each domain.
The use of several domains is usually restricted to systems using a hosted WEB architecture.
7.1.
Creation of a domain
This operation is performed using the context menu at the root of the tree structure (platform level).
7.2.

Properties of a domain
Operating level of the domain: it must not be greater
than that of the XPR-300 licence: Premium,
Advanced or Easy.
Number of users with reading and writing (R/W)
rights allocated to this domain. If this field is empty,
no control will be carried out.*
Number of users with read-only (R/O) rights allocated
to this domain. If this field is empty, no control will be
carried out.*
Maximum disk space allocated to the domain. If this
field is empty, no control will be carried out.
Free disk space remaining with respect to the space
allocated to the domain.
The bottom section of this window also allows creating and changing the domain administrator’s access
code.
This administrator can use this Administration module but access will be limited to this domain only.
*The total number of users for all domains must not exceed that for the platform.
7.3.
Deletion of a domain
This operation is carried out using the context menu on the domain to delete.
IMPORTANT: All elements contained in the domain will be permanently deleted.

WORKSPACE
The concept of workspace is usually associated with the concept of geographic site.
The use of several workspaces is usually restricted to systems using Web architecture.
8.1.
Creation of a workspace
This operation is performed using the context menu at the
domain level.

Properties of a workspace
Number of users with reading and writing (R/W)
rights allocated to this workspace. If this field is
empty, no control will be carried out.*
Number of users with read-only (R/O) rights allocated
to this workspace. If this field is empty, no control will
be carried out.*
Used disk space: this information is used by the
administrator to locate the most memory-consuming
elements.
The bottom section of this window is also used to create and change the workspace administrator’s
access code.
This administrator can use this Administration module but access will be limited to this workspace only.

DATABASE
The database concept in XPR-300 v4.0 corresponds to that in version v3.0.
9.1.
Creation of a database
This operation is performed using the context menu at the
workspace level.
9.2.

Properties of a database
Used disk space: this information is used by the
administrator to locate the most memory-consuming
elements.
The bottom section of this window is also used to create
and change the database administrator’s access code.
This administrator can use this Administration module but
access will be limited to this database only.
9.3.
Deletion of a database
This operation is carried out using the context menu on the database to delete.
IMPORTANT: All elements contained in the database will be permanently deleted.

MANAGEMENT OF XPR-300 USERS
10.1. Creation of a user
This operation is carried out using the context menu at the domain user group level.
10.2. Properties of a user
The bottom section of the Properties window can also be used to create and change the user’s
password. This password must be defined when creating each user.
After creation of the user, the following properties can be defined:



If the user wants to receive notifications of events, he/she must specify:
o His/her e-mail address to receive them by electronic mail
o His/her cellular phone number to receive them by SMS.
If Alarm Notification = No: he/she will only receive serious system error messages (Full disk, On-line
driver shutdown, etc.)
If Alarm Notification = Yes: he/she will also receive messages relative to equipment status changes.
These must meet the following conditions:
o Belong to a database that is accessible by the user
o Have the notification option active on equipments (Configuration mode, Acquisition tab)

10.3. Database access configuration
1. In the list of users, click on that (or those, using the CTRL + click) for whom
you want to define database access.
In the context menu, select the “Select user(s)”.
2. In the list of domain elements, click on that with which you want to associate
the user(s) selected in step 1 above.
- if this is a workspace, access is granted to all databases belonging to this
workspace.
- if this is a domain, access is granted to all workspaces included in the
domain.
In the context menu, select “Create access”.
3. The profile of the users can now be defined for this specific database.
See § 10.4 for more details on profile management.

10.4. Database access profiles
By selecting a user by its association with a domain element, one can use the Properties window to
change the access rights of this association.

The following parameters can then be set up:
 User profile: a profile regroups a set of permissions
allowing for the access to XPR-300 functions. There are 3
profiles: PROFIL1, PROFIL2, PROFIL3, knowing that
PROFIL1 has all rights and PROFIL3 has none. A new

BACK-UP AND RESTORATION
The location of back-ups is defined in the Preferences of the XPR-300 application.
Go to the “View / Preferences” menu, then in the “Application Server Preferences” section, select variable
“ "srv"/backup directory”, which is accessible in “Extended mode”.
Back-ups will be saved here, in a sub-directory.
IMPORTANT: It is strongly advised that back-ups be copied onto another volume than that
hosting the database.
11.1. Backing up a database
Select the database to back up in the tree structure.
The Properties window shows the path for the folder where the back up will be saved.
Select the “Backup / Restoration” tab.

11.2. Restoring a database
Select the database to restore in the tree structure.
The Properties window shows the path for the folder where the file to restore must be located.

AUTOMATIC BACK-UP

XPR-300 Administration” is also used to program back-ups for each level: Domain, Workspace or
Database. Back-up jobs are programmed in the “Backup / Restoration” tab:
1. Select the back-up period: daily or weekly.
2. Select the back-up time.
3. Create the back-up job by clicking on
.
The back-up will then be automatically performed according to the selected periodicity and time.
To cancel a back-up task, select the corresponding line and delete it by clicking on
.
IMPORTANT: The data server must be operating when the back-up is scheduled so that it can be
achieved.
