Do it and share it

Do it and share it!
We would like parents to share the children’s wow moments at home! At school, we use wow
moments throughout the day. When we spotted some good behaviour, we always praise them and
give them some positive feedback. For example, ‘Wow, you’re playing so nicely. I really like the way
you’re keeping all the blocks on the table’. This works better than waiting for the blocks to come
crashing to the floor before you take notice and say, ‘Hey, stop that’. So, we want to see how you
praise your child when they did something good.
As for me, I always invited Nathan to involved in some simple house chores, such as helping me
cook/ or prepare a dish, cleaning up his own mess, helping with the shopping bag/trolley, or even
watering the plant. Nathan loved doing it, as this make him feel important and after he finish it I
always praise his behaviour and effort.
If you can give your child lots of practice doing a chore, he/she’ll get better at it, feel good about
doing it, and want to keep doing it. And if you give her/him some praise for her/his behaviour and
effort, it’ll help to build her/his self-esteem.
We can not wait to see the children wow moment,
T. Prapha and T. Emma
