The purpose of this Module is designed to facilitate
students to attain knowledge about human interactions
in an organization to better practice, to be developed,
and implemented. It is very essential to study
organizational
behavior
because
it
provides
an
understanding of why people behave as they do in the
Aim
organization. It will also help students to understand
the complex nature of human being in an organization
by identifying causes and effects of the behavior.
Moreover, this module will help students to understand
the issues arise in the working environment and they
will also know how to deal with it in a professional
manner.
On successful completion of this unit students will be
able to 1.

Assessments for this Unit will reflect on the Expected Learning Outcomes and the
characteristics of the level descriptors for learning at this level. A marking grid / Marking
Rubric will be used by lecturers when marking assessments in this Unit to ensure consistency
in the approach and the distribution of scoring.

UNIT COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS:
To gain a Pass in this unit, students must:

Attain a minimum of 50% marks from each and every assessment component
prescribed for this unit.

Achieve a minimum of 90% attendance in the Unit to be eligible to pass and students
who fail to achieve minimum 90% attendance in the Unit will not be entitled to sit for
the Unit final examination.

Achieve minimum number of credits required in this Unit.

Clear all due fees/ payment .Students with due fees / payment will not be allowed to
sit for the Unit final examination.
Note: Students are required to check on the Moodle Notice board and Couse Schedule for the

Rationale: this activity is designed to assess the following Outcomes:
Outcome 1 - Demonstrate the importance of interpersonal skills, and describe the

the working environment.
Outcome 2- Explain the major forms of diversity as well as the issues and how
organizations manage workforce diversity.
Details
The Quiz will comprise of 10 Questions which is 10% of the total unit marks. Each
correct answer will carry 1 mark. The quiz will be 30 minutes long with an additional 10
minutes setup time. The Online Quiz will cover the topics / sub-topics taught and align
with the learning outcomes 1 and 2.
Note – Additional guidelines regarding the debate will be made available to student via
Moodle.

This Activity is designed to assess the following outcomes:
Outcome 5- Examine the importance of psychology in our social lives and
apply psychological principles to personal and social issues.
This task provide opportunity for students to demonstrate their ability and
willingness to work together for the benefit of the group as well as to help each
student in the group perform to his or her best.

Your selected final presentation is to be delivered by using Microsoft
PowerPoint OR any other presentation software, in groups of four or five.
Please refer to the Presentation marking guide for additional information.

The students will be required to provide evidence that they can apply the study
skills that they have learnt from the Unit “Outcome 1 to 5”; of this Unit. They

will be required to select a topic related to the Unit outcomes from 1-5, and
prepare and deliver a group oral presentation.

As such, the groups will be required to select their own topic, relating to the
area of study and get it confirmed from the Unit lecturer before preparing the
group presentation. This task weighs 10% of the total marks allocated for the
Unit.
Assessment
Guidelines

Score 10 marks: 8marks for the content and delivery (individual mark), and 02
marks for the organization (group mark).
Each student will be required to speak for a minimum of (5) five minutes.

It is important that the groups work cooperatively to produce a cohesive
presentation.

The presentation must have an appropriate structure, ie introduction, body,
conclusion & references.

All sections of the presentation must be coordinated to provide a smooth
transition between the speakers.

Individual marks will be given for content and delivery skills for each speaker.

The group members will be required to prepare for question and answers from
the assessment panel at the end of the presentation.

The final examination will comprise of three Sections; Section A, Section B and
Criteria
Section C. Final examination weights 60% of the total Unit marks. The final paper
will be 3 HOURS long with an additional 10 minutes reading time.

Section A: MCQ Questions – consists of twenty (20) questions. Answer ALL
(20) questions. Each question is worth 1 mark.

Section B: Short Essay Questions – consists of FIVE (5) questions. Answer
any FOUR (4) questions. Each question is worth 10 marks.

Section C: (Essay Questions) – consists of FOUR (4) questions. Answer any
THREE (3) questions. Each question is worth 20 marks.
Assessed The Examination will cover the topics / sub-topics taught and align with the learning
Outcomes outcomes 8. (Unassessed areas from Outcome 1-8 may be included in the Exam).

SUBMISSION AND COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENT MATERIALS

Student should submit both the soft and hard copy of the assignment BEFORE 16:00
hrs of the due date. Any assignment submitted after 16:00 hrs will be regarded as a
LATE SUBMISSION and you will be penalized according to rules followed for late
submission. You will be sent a notification email once your soft copy is received by
the faculty. Please be reminded that your assignment WILL NOT BE MARKED
unless you submit a soft copy.

All Soft Copy must be submitted through MOODLE unless otherwise informed. You
must type your assignment in a Word document and then add it as an attachment to the
Assignment Submission Link. Again, be sure to keep copies (backup) of all your work.
You should submit your work in a standard typeface and size. Please use Times New
Roman (font size 12 points) with 1.5 line spacing in all Word documents.

A student who submits an assessment task after the due date for submission will be
penalized by 10% per calendar day up to 10 days, i.e. marks equal to 10% of the
assignment's worth will be deducted as a 'flat rate' from the mark awarded for each
calendar day the assignment is late up to 10 calendar days. Friday and Saturday each
count as one calendar day; and

The assessment will not be accepted after the marked assessment task has been
returned to students who submitted the assessment task by the due date.

Assignments may not be turned in late unless there is a legitimate emergency that must
be documented, and Student Will Inform Program Manager before the due date and
ask for an extension. He /She will consider each request on a case-by-case basis.
