SPECIFICATIONS OF MAJOR COMPONENTS OF THE SYSTEM
1.1
SPV ARRAY
The SPV array of 5 KWp capacities shall consist of 20 modules of 250Wp
wired in 5 series, 4 Parallel configurations. The modules shall be fixed on
corrosion resistant MS structures. The SPV module has suitable number
of crystalline silicon solar E-Sharp’s connected in series and hermetically
sealed with high transmission toughened glass on top and suitable
lamination material on back using state-of-the-art technology. The
laminates are framed using anodized aluminum channels. A terminal block is
fixed on the frames for taking the electrical output. The SPV array shall be
grouted on support structure on the Ground or Roof as per availability of
space.
1.2
SUPPORT STRUCTURES
The modules will be mounted on support structures fabricated from drawn
steel. The structure will be hot dip galvanized to make them non-corrosive and
long lasting. Each structure will carry 5 modules to form a panel and will be
capable of withstanding a horizontal wind speed of 150 KMPH after grouting
and installation.
1.3
CABLING & JUNCTION BOXES
As mentioned earlier 20 modules will be arranged in 4 panels of 5 modules
each. 5 modules of a panel will be mounted on a structure and connected
together in series in the daisy chain manner. The two ends of the seriesconnected modules will be brought to the panel junction box (PJB) mounted
on the panel structure. Series blocking diode will be located in the panel
junction box and the panel output will be taken to Main junction box (MJB)
where outputs of all the panels will be brought for paralleling. The output from
the MJB and taken to the inverter through charge controller for conversion into
230V, 1 phase AC. The Batteries, Charge Controller and Inverter shall be
placed inside a weather-proof location provided by the Buyer. Nominal array
voltage will be 120 V DC.
1.4
POWER CONDITIONING UNIT
The Single phase Power Conditioning Unit (PCU) provides Single -phase AC
power to the specified loads.
The Power Conditioning unit mainly comprises of PWM Solar Charge
Controller and a single phase inverter.
The PWM Charger is microprocessor based system designed to provide the
necessary protection and maximize the power from the 5 KWp SPV array to
charge the 300 AH battery bank. The charge controller is equipped with
necessary software that allows precise charging of the battery bank.

The high efficiency inverter converts the DC power available from the
Array/Battery back into 1 phase AC, by incorporating IGBT devices for power
conversion.
When the solar power is available, the control attempts to maintain zero
current from the battery, thus transferring as much as solar current to load as
possible. During this time the battery voltage is monitored continuously.
When the solar energy is not available (due to insufficient sunlight) the system
enables the battery to deliver the current through inverter to meet the
demand.
The microprocessor controlled inverter incorporates Pulse Width Modulation
(PWM) technology and incorporates all the desired safety features.
Important features/protections in the PCU:






PWM Solar Charger
LCD Display gives all necessary information.
Automatic fault conditions reset for all parameters like voltage, frequency
and/or black out.
MOV type surge arrestors on AC & DC terminals for over voltage
protection from lightening induced surges.
PCU operation from -5° to 55° C,
Over load capacity (for 30 sec.) shall be 150% of continuous rating.
Since the PCU is to be used in solar photovoltaic energy system, it shall have
high operational efficiency. The idling current at no load shall not exceed two
percent of the full load current.

Sealed Maintenance Free Battery Bank
The 120 Volts, 300AH battery bank in the offered SPV systems is
maintenance free type and work on oxygen recombination principle. The
oxygen gas generated at the positive plate, is transported in the gas phase
through a highly absorbent and porous glass mat separator to the negative
plate. The micro porous glass separator is not completely saturated with
electrolyte and the void space thus available allows an unimpeded access of
oxygen to the negative plate. The oxygen gas gets reduced at the negative
late surface, thereby effectively suppressing the evolution of hydrogen.
Consequently, batteries cells do not lose any water under normal operation
and therefore, no topping-up is required.

2. Installation & commissioning: Extra @ Rs. 5000.00.
3. Taxes and Duty: Excise Duty-NIL and VAT-Extra @ 5% VAT.
4. Transportation Charges : Extra at actual.
5. Delivery Lead Time: dispatch will be affected with 2 to 3 weeks from date of receipt
of your technically and commercially clear purchase order with advance.
6. Payments: 75% advance with confirmed PO, 25% on inspection of material at our
works.
7. Validity: offer is valid for three weeks.
8. Modifications: any modifications in Systems specifications and operations will
change system configuration and offer price and shall be charged at mutually agreed
price.
9. Warranty: our standard warranty against any manufacturing defects /poor
workmanship is valid for 15 months from the date of supply or 12 months from the
date of installation, whichever is earlier.
10. Force Majeure: standard force majeure conditions apply for this offer and resultant
order.
