Matter Matching
Set Up – Print out the three states of matter picture cards and the 30 describing
cards on cardstock. Laminate.
How to Play –
*Independent: Have students match the card to the state of matter that it is
describing. Record answers on answer sheet.
*Small Group of 3: The group turns all of the clues card face down on the table. Each
student chooses on the states of matter card. Each student takes a turn, chooses a
card, and reads the clue aloud. They then have to determine which state of matter it
is describing and give it to that corresponding student. The first student to have all
of their 10 cards wins.
