It is well known for various type of cuisines,
night life style, shopping and specially for it's
economic growth.

people live harmoniously and interaction
among different races are commonly seen.

Chinese Mandarin, Malay and, Tamil or
Singapore Colloquial English (Singlish).
Singapore standard of English is virtually the
same as British, Malaysian, and Indian
Standard English.
Singaporeans are well aware of their unique
language.


Major religions in Singapore is Buddhism,
Taoism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism.
Christianity is follow the teachings of Jesus,
the Son of God. The life of Jesus, his
message, suffering, death on a cross and
resurrection are recorded in the Bible.
Believers accept Jesus as their Messiah. The
Armenian Church, the oldest Christian church
in Singapore was completed in 1835.



Hinduism is the oldest religion in the world,
they believe that the supreme God takes
various forms as ‘Brahma' the Creator,
‘Vishnu' the Preserver and ‘Shiva' the
destroyer.
Taoism, or Daoism, is a philosophical or
religious tradition of Chinese origin which
emphasizes living in harmony with the Tao.
Buddhism encompasses a variety of
traditions, beliefs and spiritual practices
largely based on original teachings attributed
to the Buddha and resulting interpreted
philosophies.


Chinese New Year is one of the most
prospective holidays in Singapore. This
holiday takes place in the period between
date January and early February.
Singapore food Festival, this event was
organized, for the first time, by the Singapore
tourism authority 20 years ago in 1994. for
10 days all establishment from street trays to
the most luxury restaurant, demonstrate to
the visitors all the shades of local cuisine.



Japanese cultures.
This influence can be seen by Confucianism,
which established many traditions that can be
seen in modern Korea today. This traditions
include the ethical code of conduct in social
life and showing respect to the elders and
family.
They also believe in sincerity and loyalty and
follow certain codes of conduct in meeting,
eating and praying.


Family is the most important part of Korean
society and the father is the leader of the
family.
They also believe in hierarchical structure and
children help their parents and much obey
them and show respect to their parents and

the main religions.
Buddhism is the religion in korea with the
most followers and its teaching have a great
impact on korean lifestyle, culture and art.
Yungdrung is main symbol of korean
buddhism and can be found in all temples
and religious places in korea.

Festival have great importance in korean life,
colors and joy and they are celebration and
festival are related to harvest and family.
The Korean society depends on farming so many
of their celebrations focus on events to pray for a
good harvest
These events have gradually turned into popular
celebrations and festival help regularly in korea,
like the hanshi (Cold Food Festival) celebration,
which marks the beginning of the farming
season.
It is celebrated 105 days after Dongji (Winter
Solstice)


Samgyeopsal
is a popular Korean dish that is commonly served as an
evening meal.
Kimchi
One of the oldest and probably the most essential dishes
in korean cuisine, Kimchi is popular among foreingers for
its unique flavor, as well as its high nutritional value, fiber
content and low calorie content.


Bibimbap
Bibimbap is essentially a bowl of mixed ingredients incuding, but not
limited to, rice namul(seasoned and sauteed vegetables),mushrooms,
beef, soy sauce, gochujang and a fried egg.
Samgyetang
A common dish particularly during the summer, samgyetang is tradition
soup made of chicken, garlic, rice, scallion, korean jujube, korean
ginseng, and spices.
