Now that you’ve seen how Tupac portrayed his life in his poem “The Rose that Grew From Concrete”, it’s your turn to think about you life and how it could be shown in a song or poem.
Option 1:
Find a song or poem that you feel represents, or is able to compare to YOUR life. In the space below, write 6-8 sentences (a paragraph) that explains the connections you made. Also, you should attach a copy of the lyrics or the song to this sheet. You must annotate the lyrics as well.
Option 2:
Write your OWN poem that expresses yourself and you life experiences, just like Tupac did. In the space below, write your poem. You should incorporate a metaphor in your poem. Beneath your poem, you should write 3-5 sentences explaining the main idea of your poem.
