Directions for Cougar Compass and Harbor Video

Student Directions: Students are to follow these directions (please post in a visible area of your
room):
1. go to jeffersonhs360.org
2. login
username= student’s school email address
password= student’s school ID number
3. complete the module: Consequences of Cyberbullying
4. once completed and passed, show teacher your device with completion of module displayed
under the completed tab
Teacher Directions
1. Display student directions on a chalkboard/whiteboard for students to follow.
2. In Live Grades, teachers will need to go to the LINKS period. Go to Reports and print a blank
roll sheet with the date August 26 at the top of the column. Mark students who are absent with
“A.” Use this sheet again in step 5.
3. While in Live Grades, go to the LINKS class. Select Create an Assignment. Title the
assignment “Consequences of Cyberbullying.” You will record 100 if the assignment is
completed, “M” if the student is absent, does not complete the module, or refuses to complete the
module.
4. When students show you they have completed the assignment, have the student sign the blank
roll sheet to verify they have been given instruction about internet safety. This roll sheet must be
given to Mr. Roman by the end of the day. Do not send it to the office with a student.
5. Remind students that this is the one module they must complete in order to access the school’s
WIFI and use school technology. Please encourage the kids to complete this module now so that
they will not have to do it during Cougar Hour during a makeup session. Kids can work together
but must record their answers signed in to a device using their own credentials to receive credit.
They must get at least 8 of the 9 questions correct to receive credit.
6. I will send out the answers to the module Monday morning. I cannot access the modules’
complete quiz until the session begins. Sorry for the delay in answers.
At this point, do not worry if you as the instructor cannot log in to Cougar Compass and see
results. I will pull all the results to verify for CIPA recording.
If you have any questions or concerns, please come see me in A 11. I am more than willing to
help.

If you need something to keep kids quiet and focused, please utilize the following Harbor video,
which continues this week’s theme of cyberbullying. Display on a board. Speakers required as
it is a video.

write answers to the questions (all or some, that is up to you) and collect them. If collected, you
may want to enter this as an activity in Live Grades Links also.
