In 1988 delegate voted to change the name from Future Farmers of America to its current
name of National FFA Organization.
FFA Chronology
1928 – FFA established in Kansas City, MO with First National Convention
1929 – FFA Colors Adopted
1933 – FFA Jacket Adopted
1969 – FFA Membership opens to Girls
1988 – FFA Changes name to National FFA Organization
1999 – National Convention moves to Louisville, KY
2006 – National Convention moves to Indianapolis, IN
