Team Shillong Endurance Motorsports Club in collaboration with Meghalaya AIDS Control Society is
collaborating to create awareness against discrimination and stigmatising against people living with
HIV/AIDS. By hosting the Second Edition of the Motorsports Challenge, we the Team SEMC are
promoting Motorsports as a form of indulgence for the youth populace. Challenge what society has
unintentionally taught us about the perils of being around an HIV/AIDS victim.
Our media partners play a vital and pivotal role by helping us circulate this message.
People who fight for their lives and with their lives when battling a disease that we have deemed as
“Not-Acceptable” in our society.
This event aim to engage and encourage the young populace first and foremost about learning the
methods of prevention and protection by setting up an IEC camp onsite the event will give them a
chance to interact and learn from the professionals or victims themselves. However, it is not just for the
youth. This is an open invitation to everyone and anyone!! And everyone can make themselves smarter
and more self-aware about how stigmatisation and discrimination is hurting the sentiments of not just
the victims, but also the friends and families of the affected.
With the help of the students from the Music Department, Martin Luther Christian University we intent
to set in and gather the crowd around us; to create an awareness and a hype about the event!
The event will have a live stream from NE Live, Red FM and Power Drift alongside, we have the
students of the Mass Media Department, St. Anthony’s College who will also run Vox pop interviews
with the crowd and the participants to help them express about what they feel.
The Bansara Eye Care Clinic has also seemed fit to associate themselves with us in this by setting up an
Free eye camp at the event site. This Eye camp is especially set up to help the people from the village
along with anyone and everyone who would like to get their eyes checked for free and for a cause!
Let’s open our eyes to a brighter future, a better society and better human-selves!
