Corporate Attire Dress code Corporate Attire is more of the traditional business look. This is to keep up a professional atmosphere in the workplace, and a formal image with clients. Generally, the standard for attire is a suit and tie for men, and pantsuit or long dress for women. Anything too tight or revealing should be avoided. Corporate Attire for Women: Pantsuit, knee-length (or longer) dresses, sensible shoes, neutral colors, appropriate necklines, heels, booties or ballet flats. Jewelry should be kept simple and conservative. Women: skirt suits or pantsuits with formal business blouses or tops, stockings, closed toe and heel leather shoes, and appropriate business accessories including a briefcase, a leather folder for pads of paper, and a conservative pen. Women were encouraged to keep jewelry, makeup, and perfume subtle and elegant. Corporate Attire for Men: Basic suit and tie outfit with a pair of dress shoes/loafers. Suit colors may include black, navy, brown or tan – depending on the season. Men: formal suit, tie, business shirt, upscale sports jackets with ties and a business shirt, leather dress shoes, appropriate conservative leather accessories such as briefcases, portfolios, and diaries. Men were encouraged to keep accessories like watches and cologne subtle.
