B. Other Learning Materials
IV.PROCEDURE
A. Reviewing previous lesson
or presenting the new lesson
(Review)
B. Establishing a purpose for
the lesson
(Motivation)
The learners demonstrate an understanding OF
 the structure and functions of plant parts and organelles
involved in photosynthesis
The learners shall be able
 design and conduct an investigation to provide evidence
that plants can manufacture their own food
The learners should be able to
 differentiate basic features and importance of
photosynthesis and respiration

a. Identify and describe the parts of the stomata using the
actual specimen prepared.
b. Explain the function of the stomata in the process of
photosynthesis
c. Value the importance of watering the plants regularly

ACTIVITY: Investigating Leaf Stomata
DIFFERENTIATED ACTIVITY
Use the point system below in evaluating the performance of the
learners
Score :
P resentation
A ccuracy
T eam Effort
Group 1 : What You See is What You Get….
Observe and Illustrate the stomates using an actual leaf specimen
as seen under the microscope
Group 3 : Are You In or Out?
Simulate the parts and functions of stomata through role playing
Group 3 : Looking Through the Eyes of Stomates
Discuss the parts and functions of the stomates with the use of
prepared slide as seen using a Media Flex and projected in the TV
Group 4 : Wet and Wild
Explain the importance of maintaining the proper amount of water
in opening and closing of stomata
E. Discussing new concepts
and practicing new skills # 2
Group Presentation
Brainstorming
Presentation of Answers in the Guide questions
F. Developing mastery
G. Finding practical
applications of concepts and
skills in daily living
(Application)
H. Making generalization and
abstraction or about the
lesson
(Generalization)
I Evaluating learning
(Assessment)
J. Additional activities for
application remediation


What is the importance of watering the plants regularly
Why is it that most of the stomates are found in the lower
epidermis than in the upper epidermis
Think of any object/ thing that may compliment the function of the
stomata in the process of photosynthesis
Ex. Door- because it allows the exit and the entrance of the raw
materials and end products of photosynthesis
1. ______ are the opening of the leaves found at the upper and
lower surface of the 2.___________. They allow the entrance of
3.______ as raw materials in the food making process known as
photosynthesis. On the other hand , they also allow the exit of
_4_____as its by product. It is composed of 5__________ cells which
facilitates the opening and closing of the stomata.
Prepare other leaf samples for additional observation of stomata
V. REMARKS
VI. REFLECTION
A.No. of learners who earned
80% in the evaluation
B.No. of learners requiring
remediation.
C.Did the remedial lessons
work? (# of learners who
have caught up with the

lesson)
D.No. of learners who
continue to require
remediation
E.Which of my teaching
strategies worked well? Why
did these work? "
F.What innovation or localized
materials did I use/discover
which I wish to share with
other teachers?
