TGM v ABSTRACT The study sought to determine the significant relationship of accreditation characteristics and level of performance of the network contractors of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company. Accreditation characteristics including years of accreditation, years of business operation, net worth, paid-up capitalization and D&B credit rating were gathered from the available records from the Supplier Relationship Management Office of PLDT. The level of performance considered was the average of 2013, 2014, and 2015 performance rating of network contractors rated by the engineering group of PLDT. Purposive sampling method was used to select the 42 participants of the study. They were chosen based on availability of documents and their D&B ratings from 2013-2015. Pearson-r correlation was used to test the hypothesis stating that there was a relationship between PLDT’s network contractor characteristics and their level of performance. Findings revealed that there is a significant relationship between the accreditation characteristics of network contractors and their years of accreditation, years of operation, net worth, paid-up capitalization, D&B credit rating and their level of performance. The researcher recommends that the findings of the study be used by PLDT to improve the accreditation process of its network contractors and that similar studies be conducted for future research considering other variables that were not included in this study.
