TYPE 683 - 3-Stage - Mechanical-Hydraulic Stage Collar
Type 683 - 3-Stage Cementing system is comprised of a lower string Hydraulic stage collar (T690), and an upper
string Mechanical stage collar that are run at varied depths in the casing string to allow a 3 stage cementing operation to be
carried out. Since the tools are mechanically and Hydraulically opened, this system can only be used where the upper string
tool in the well is placed at an inclination <25°.
Primary Application:
Designed for use in applications where 3 stage cementing is required and well bore
inclination is less than 25° (at the Mechanical tool Location).
Performance Features:
• Boasts a robust locking mechanism.
• Consistent shifting pressure.

• Standard seals rated for -15°F to +400°F and suitable for sour service and high pressure gas environments.
• PDC Drillable
Options:
• Plugsets for various different cementing applications available.
• *Second stage (Hydraulic tool) contingency opening dart is not standard, it must be purchased as optional equipment*
• Tools can be manufactured with premium connectionsand special clearance outside diameters.
