Lesson plan 1 Name of the lesson: Circulatory system Name of the Teacher: Amreetha Priscilla Subject: Science Grade: 5 Duration: June 3- 14 No of periods: 7 Seating Chart: In groups of 2 or 3 Content Objective Parts of the Student will Circulatory be able to System identify the different parts of the circulatory system Functions of Heart and Blood vessels Student will be able to explain the functions of the organs of the circulatory system Teaching Learning Activity Activity Conducted and Materials Used Warm up activity: 1. Students will be asked to deduce the arrangement of particles in Solids, Liquids and Gases and model it using balls. 2. Simulation Concept Development Phase: Explain that solids, liquids and gas are the 3 states of matter. Help Students understand the arrangement of particles in each state. Explain that kinetic theory describes the properties of matter by the interaction of particles. Warm up activity: 1. Students will test the adhesion of water and oil on different surfaces. ( leaf, cardboard, etc) Concept Development Phase: Help students understand adhesive force. Explain chemical and dispersive adhesion. Enumerate the role of adhesive force in adhesives like paper glue and tape.
