Symptom
A webservice call to Credit Management failes.
For example when creating a sales order the following error message occurs:
'Error when calling credit management: Technical error' (UKM_PI008)

Reason and Prerequisites
FSCM Credit Management is always active in S/4 HANA.
Credit management uses internal or external communication with other applications like Logistics, for which
some system configurations are neccessary.
Solution
Please refer to the attached configuration guide, as there is additional configuration needed after the initial
installation. (topic of interest is related to the system landscape)
Troubleshooting Guide for commonly known failed webservice calls:
Most of the errors can be found via transaction SRT_UTIL. There is either the error log and the message
monitor to find the root cause of the issue. (The service interface names of credit management contain the
sequence "credit" in most cases. With that you should be able to easily identify related errors)
You can try to ping the web service via transaction SOAMANAGER if a connection of the webservice, which
you want to test, is set up. Results can be analyzed with hints in note 1947516.
Some of the reasons for failed webservice calls are:
• missing security certificates for internal or external communication:

Occurence: You will see in the error log of SRT_UTIL the following or a similar error: "SCLNT_HTTP411:
Connection refused by server (ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_REFUSED")
Solution: Use transaction STRUST and add the possibly missing cerificates. For example if you don't use
any other product for your internet security, you may install a PSE in SSL Client (anonymous) for internal
communication. We refer to the following notes 510007, 1094342 and the security guide of FSCM-CR credit
management.
• wrong or missing configuration of the SOAP Runtime:
Occurence: You will see in the error log or message monitor of SRT_UTIL errors which may link to
deactivate ICF knots or HTTPS port.
Solution: Configure the SOAP Runtime with transaction SRT_ADMIN or SRT_TOOLS. For instructions
follow note 1043195. The following tasks shall be checked and configured: Service Destination, Inbound
Destination, bgRFC Configuration, ICF Nodes, IDP Settings, Task Monitor.
In addition, you can enable ICM trace-level-2 and look for the root cause. These notes can also be of
help here:

- 401162 - Linux: Avoiding TCP/IP port conflicts and start problems
• deactive http port:
Occurence: HTTPS request failes, see in SRT_UTIL.
Solution: configure and activate the HTTPS port (use transaction SMICM also to check the settings).
• missing or wrong logical system in table T000:
Occurence: you will get dumps when creating sales documents, if that configuration is missing. Visit the
errors via transaction ST22 or SRT_UTIL.
Solution: maintain the logical system accordingly via SPRO.
• missing valid currency exchange rates for some currencies:
Occurence: research for errors via transaction ST22 or SRT_UTIL. You will find a currency conversion
error.
Solution: use transaction SPRO and maintain the exchange rates in path: SAP Net Weaver->General
Settings->Currencies->enter exchange rates. For related questions to the currency settings, you can
refer to the FAQ note 783877.
• inactive database tables (for example view IFIRECPAYITEM):
Occurence: you will get a dump or a webservice error because of a time out. (Also see ST22 or SRT_UTIL)
Solution: activate/generate the affected tables/views.

• changes in XML transformation process:
Occurence: you will get a dump with title "LOAD_TRFO_PROGRAM_MISMATCH" (see ST22) and in addition
SRT_UTIL shows an error saing "RABAX occured on surver side" (CORE-DUMP).
Solution: follow the instructions of note 1918773.
