Qualified IBPS-RRB- Clerk Office Exam -2015 About M.Tech Project Incremental sheet forming (ISF) process is an advanced flexible manufacturing process to produce complex 3D products. It has the potential to revolutionize sheet metal forming, making it accessible to all level of manufacturing. ISF does not require any dedicated tool. In this way the tool locally deforms the material through an almost pure stretching deformation mechanics by moving a hemispherical head tool over an arbitrary surface. The most critical factors affecting Single Point Incremental Forming were found to be material type, material thickness, formed shape, tool size, and incremental step size. ISF can make it accessible to all level of manufacturing. ISF is based on the layered manufacturing principle, where the model is divided Abhinav Dixit into horizontal slices. The goals of my project are to study the effect of heat treatment on various aspects (formability, sheet thinning, fracture strain, forces), tool shapes on formability and energy consumption, study of hardness affected by input parameters; spif with multiple sheets to increases the productivity, r/to ratio can be examined for material for testing the formability.
