“ Together, we will create the stuff of legend!
”
Instructor: Rob Brant
Do you love action and adventure? Do you enjoy all things fantasy? Then turn on your imagination; prepare to roll some dice; get ready to explore deep dark dungeons, and battle dangerous dragons, as well as other magical monsters! Dungeons & Dragons (aka D&D) is a role-playing game based on the myths and fantasies that have shaped our culture, and is a game of endless possibilities where the only limit on what can happen is what you can imagine. Not only a social experience, D&D combines group storytelling and fantasy iconology with strategic challenges and dice rolling to create a fun and exciting activity where there are no winners or losers. Over the course of the semester, you will learn the basics of
D&D, develop a character for play, and participate in a campaign (a series of shorter adventures). You will be provided with a travel journal in which you will record your weekly adventures from the perspective of your character.
