Space Exploration Timeline Project

You will create a horizontal timeline listing 10 dates of significance in
the history of the world’s Space Exploration Program. Each event must
include a title, a complete date (month, day, year), a colored illustration,
and a detailed description of the event and the characters involved. You
will be provided with a white timeline sheet to create your project. The
project rubric is on the back of this page.
NOTE:
1. The timeline must be in chronological order and presented in a
neat and orderly fashion. You can be penalized up to 10 points if
you dates are not in the correct sequence from first to last and up to
10 points for neatness, grammar, and spelling..
2. You must have at least 1 event from each decade starting with the
1950’s. For example, you must have a date in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s,
90s, 2000s and 2010s. (That will leave 4 events that you may chose
from any date in history.)
3. Your summary must be written in your own words. Plagiarism
will not tolerated. It must include a brief summary of what happened,
who was involved, and what country sponsored it.
4. All illustrations must be of actual photos or pictures. You may
print the picture from the Internet or draw them by tracing or free
hand. Remember that they must be in color.
