Drafting Process
1. Write a paper. See the individual paper prompts for what to write about.
2. Before the rough draft is due, I will put you into a group with 3-4 other students.
a. You will exchange RADFORD email addresses (none of this
babygurl69@yahoo.com stuff)
b. It will NOT be the same group each paper, so don’t miss the announcement of
the new groups when they pop up
3. Before the time listed for each paper below, you will email your rough draft to you peer
group.
a. It WILL be on time.
b. It will have everything listed in the “Grading Criteria” document.
c. Don’t say you “didn’t know” because you did. You know.
4. You will receive your group mates’ papers at the same time
a. You will print them ALL off.
i. Anticipate this necessity.
ii. Get a new printer
iii. Go to the library to print
1. Or the computer lab in the Bonnie
2. Or the computer lab in Walker
3. Or literally anywhere else with a printer
b. You will edit them all by hand
i. Your writing will be legible
ii. It will be written in pen or pencil that shows up
5. Meet with you group on the date listed below
a. You will exchange papers AFTER discussing everyone’s paper
b. You will leave with a few copies of your paper and a lot of advice
i. Hooray!
6. Edit your paper
7. Bring a printed-off copy of your paper (a second draft) (yes, a SECOND draft) (I’ve
already read your rough draft once at this point. Why would I read it again and give it
the same advice I already gave?) to my office for final editing.
a. Yes, it must be printed.
8. Go home and finish editing your paper
9. Turn in your final draft
10. Move on to the next paper
