Hi there, in case you’re still thinking of going to a circus
and taking your children please allow me a few minutes
of your time. Circuses rely on the breakdown of animals
for people’s mindless entertainment. Behind the foolish
tricks lies a life full of shackles, pain, and suffering. Take
elephants, for example, who are taken from the wild and
separated from their families only to come to a place
where they are chained and beaten with a bullhook. This
is not natural behavior for elephants. They are migratory
animals who rarely stand or their hind legs and never on
their front legs. The worst part is that there are people
completely oblivious to this (or just don’t care).
Elephants, tigers, lions, bears, and other animals have
been exploited for hundreds of years and it seems like the
only viable solution to this issue is making people aware
of what is really going on behind the scenes. It is our
moral duty to protect the animals of this planet because
it’s not our planet, it’s theirs too. Before you purchase a
ticket to a circus who utilizes animals, please consider
reading this and even doing your own research. I watched
a documentary last night called “An Apology to
Elephants”. It’s free for Amazon Prime members and
anyone with an HBO subscription to watch. If everyone is
on the same page, we can drive these money-hungry
circus owners out of business or at least get them to stop
using animals in their performances. Thank you for
reading this and maybe putting some thought into the
matter.
P. S. If you want to see elephants and other wild animals,
how about visiting them at a reputable zoo or wildlife
sanctuary instead? I can promise you that you or your
children will learn more there than at a circus. Another
alternative is the Cirque du Soleil (they don’t use animals)
for gorgeous performances.

Los circos dependen del maltrato de los animales para el
entretenimiento sin sentido de la gente. Detrás de los trucos
tontos se encuentra una vida llena de encadenamiento,
dolor y sufrimiento. Tomemos elefantes, por ejemplo, que
son sacados de la naturaleza y separados de sus familias
solo para llegar a un lugar donde los encadenan y los
golpean con un bullhook. Este no es un comportamiento
natural para los elefantes. Son animales migratorios que
rara vez se paran con sus patas traseras y nunca en sus
patas delanteras. La peor parte es que hay personas que son
completamente ajenas a esto (o simplemente no les
importa). Elefantes, tigres, leones, osos y otros animales han
sido explotados durante cientos de años y parece que la
única solución viable para este problema es hacer que las
personas se den cuenta de lo que realmente está sucediendo
detrás de escena. Es nuestro deber moral proteger a los
animales de este planeta porque no es nuestro planeta, es
de ellos también. Antes de comprar un boleto para un circo
que utiliza animales, considere leer esto e incluso hacer su
propia investigación. Anoche vi un documental titulado “An
