I am interested in mechabiology research because I want to get the opportunity to develop research skills in physical and biological sciences. In addition, I am pursuing mechanobiology research at the CEMB because I do not have much knowledge about mechanobiology and would like to gain knowledge about the topic. In addition, I am intrigued to understand the roles of mechanical forces in molecules, cells, and tissues in plants and animals. I desire to relate to more than one branch of knowledge. Therefore, I feel like this research opportunity will help me discover how biological systems communicate. My plans after college is to promote innovation in design, research and implementation of products and services through communication, whether it’s in the workforce or attending graduate school.
