I basically do not understand the format of bin co-ordinates for automatic creation...can someone please help me. https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/1056698 1/5 3/26/2019 how to create Bin Structure Regards Sandeep (https://people.sap.com/former.member) Former Member September 22, 2008 at 16:19 PM 0 Likes Correct Answer September 22, 2008 at 16:16 PM Former Member replied Hi Sandeep, A. In the template field you define whether the position of bin name is a number or character where as in structure you define the exact structure of the bin name. for eg: if are planning for bin name 01-01-1 then you need to define template as NNCNNCNCCC which confirms to the system that name position 1,2,4,5, and 7 are numbers and rest character. In this case the structure should be defines as ?AA BB C? Which basically outlines the bin name where system needs to increment values for bin name generation. B. Then for the automatically creation of the bins, you can select in menu create online sub-menu. Through that you can create bins automatically. Each storage type has three levels with 10 bins in each level. Lets name the aisles as Aisle A and Aisle B and the bin numbering range is A101A110 for the first level of the storage type and and for the second level Lets say it is A201- A210..in https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/1056698 th i il h th hd i l t 3/5 3/26/2019 how to create Bin Structure the similar manner you have the seconhd aisle too numbered. Now, when You have decided on the bin structure. all you have to do is key in the structure logic in the configuration. IMG path: IMG-> Log Exec->warehouse management->master data->define storage bin structure Template : CNNNCCCCCCC ( C- is kept where you put common character to all the bins- in this case alphabet A is common for all bins in aisle A) Structure : AAA ( maintain this structure where you have numbers assigned to structure..in this case A101 -space AAA will be the structure. If you seperating the number range, then seperate these with diff aplphabets like BBB eg: if you want to name the structure as A101-102 then your structure would be space AAA SPACE BBB. Start value: A101 End value :A110 Increment : A001 Hope this was helpful regards 0 Share & Follow (https://www.facebook.com/sapcommunity) (https://www.youtube.com/c/SAPCommunities) (http://www.slideshare.net/SAP) (https://twitter.com/SAPCommunity) (https://www.linkedin.com/company/sap) (https://instagram.com/sap/) Privacy (http://sap.com/about/legal/privacy.html) () Terms of Use (http://sap.com/corporate/en/legal/terms-ofuse.html) https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/1056698 4/5 3/26/2019 how to create Bin Structure Legal Disclosure (http://sap.com/about/legal/impressum.html) Copyright (http://sap.com/about/legal/copyright.html) Trademark (http://sap.com/about/legal/trademark.html) Cookie Preferences Sitemap (http://www.sap.com/sitemap/index.html) Newsletter (https://sap.com/registration/newsletter.html) https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/1056698 5/5
