EXAM ANSWERS
12
• You will turn in only the answer sheet. You will take the questions with you when you
leave.
• Failure to follow the directions on how and where to put your answer will result in no points
on that question.
• There is only one correct answer for each multiple choice. If you don’t see a correct
answer, select the answer closest to yours.
• If you circle more than one answer on a multiple choice question, or if your answer is
unclear for any reason, you will not receive credit for that problem.
• For full credit on partial credit problems, you must show proper notation. If the random
variable’s name is T, use T and t, not X and x.
• Designate random variables as uppercase letters by underlining them like we do in class.
• Where a non-integer answer is required, answer to four decimal places.
TIME’S UP
13
• If you finish your exam before 5:45 pm, give it to a TA. You can leave after
that.
• If you are still working when time is called, put pen/pencil down, hold your
answer sheet in the air. Failure to do so will result in an Academic Integrity
Policy violation and you will receive a ZERO on the exam.
• The TAs will collect your exams from you while you are seated. Do not get
up during the collection process.
• No one leaves the room until we have ALL the exams collected

EXAMS ANSWERS AND RETURNS
Exams will be returned to you on Thursday 2/21. I only
bring the exams to class once.
