PeopleSoft 8.9 - Purchasing
Overview: You can create implementation projects based on products and features or based on business processes and features.
In the Create New Project By group box, click Products to select from a list of different products and related features for your implementation. Click Business Processes to select from a list of business processes and their associated underlying features.
Products are PeopleSoft modules like General Ledger, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable. Examples of related features for Purchasing would be Vendor Set Up, Vendor Contracts, Requisitions and Purchase Orders.
The Manage Implementation process will identify all of the necessary set up to install the selected Products.
Business Processes are processes performed with in a Product. For example, Receiving will be a subset of the Set Up required for the entire Purchasing Module.

Navigation: PeopleTools > Setup Manager > Manage Implementation Projects
The Manage Implementation Projects page will display (Figure 1)
There is already an existing IBIS Project.

This page contains a list of the Set Up Tasks to be completed, the Navigation to the set up pages, the
PeopleSoft Products Affected , and Features Affected .
Click the Set Up Task link to open the set up page.
Click the next to the Set Up task to open PeopleBooks online help.
Click the Products Affected or Features Affected link to view the entire list.

This page allows you to Assign the tasks, track the Start and End Dates , enter Comments Related to the task, the specify a Percent Complete .

This page contains additional details about the tasks. Most importantly is Load Method . For example, set up can be entered manually Online , or loaded using an automated process like Component Interface .
