Comparing Turboprops and Floatplanes.

Running head: COMPARING TURBOPROPS AND LIGHT JETS AIRCRAFTS 1
Turboprops and Light Jets Aircrafts
At first, an aircraft refers to a word that brings out a better meaning that describes
the vehicles that usually fly in the air. It can hover by acquiring reinforcement from the
sky. Aircraft are generally put to use as a mode of transport which connects people as
well as places via the air; they are well designed to serve the purpose of flying at a
supersonic speed hence shortening the ultimate time passengers should take to loco mote
from a given place to another. They are essential machines in the modern world since
they reduce a distance that seems to belong in the actual sense, a fact that makes it
possible for both globalization as well as communication to flourish well. One can
identify an aircraft basing on its type through many ways like looking at the primary
difference. The difference comes in between when comparing airplanes that are lighter
than air and as well those that outdo the mass of air.
There are different types of aircraft that include; turboprops, helicopters,
amphibians, floatplanes, multi-engine piston, balloons, the tricycle gear aircraft, light jets,
float planes among many others. In this case, I will compare two types of airplanes which
are turboprops and floatplanes. A turboprop is a kind of an aircraft that moves at a very
high speed such that it can cover many miles within no time. It is among the fastest
planes that exist. Its hydraulics is always perfect beside it has an engine that is quite
powerful. Turboprop has an attracting appearance that attracts passengers who put into
consideration carriers that have pretty luxury. Looking at its body, it has a good design
together with fantastic features that usually make it unique in its way. It is also known as
P jet which includes an engine that is hybrid making it possible for the plane to thrust and
at the same time be able to drive a propeller. The performance of turboprop aircraft is

higher when we compare to a light jet since it has a total number of 695 pounds as
compared to light jets which have only 600 pounds. In its performance, a turboprop has
an engine which can recover heat when it is conditions that are in off-design.
On the other hand, is the light jet which is also known as micro jet. This type of aircraft
lies in the category of small planes that designed for business. They can accommodate
approximately four to eight passengers, and they usually have a maximum weight for
taking off. The maximum weight ranges between 10,000 pounds which are around 4,540
kilograms.
The turboprop and light jet aircraft usually do not have many similarities but
looking at some of them we find that both planes move at high speed. The two crafts
seem to have several differences. At first, a light jet is more advantageous as compared to
a turboprop since it has a significant development when relating to altitude as it can fly
correctly in different types of weather conditions. Again there is a better improvement
when it comes to pressurization for a more luxurious cabin as well the jet provides a
flight that is quietly making the ride to be smoother unlike the case of the turboprop. For
turboprop, the scenario is entirely different since it flies faster higher above the ground
yet it cannot be put into comparison with the light jet in terms of having a smooth ride.
