Metro Bus Project Group Members Waleed Younus Abid Javed Abdullai Abdurrahman Project Summary The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro bus is a 22.5 km bus rapid transit system operating in the Islamabad Rawalpindi metropolitan area of Pakistan. The Metro bus network’s first phase was opened on 4 June 2015, and stretches 22 kilometers between Pak Secretariat, in Islamabad, and Saddar in Rawalpindi. Islamabad Metro Bus Phase-II PC-1 approved by NHA. The said metro bus route will be constructed between New International Islamabad Airport to Peshawar Mor. New Islamabad International Islamabad Airport which is 25.6km long and has 09 stations to mitigate the traffic issues and facilitate passengers with rapid, safe and economic transport. Project Charter On the basis of business documents and agreements the project charter has been proposed which shows the major requirements for project and authorizations. It was expected that the proposed Metro bus service route will be completed in the August 2017 but it’s still under development. The scope for this project is defined by the Scope Statement, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and WBS Dictionary. The Project Manager, Sponsor, and Stakeholders will establish and approve documentation for measuring project scope which includes deliverable quality checklists and work performance measurements. Proposed scope changes may be initiated by the Project Manager, Stakeholders or any member of the project team. All change requests will be submitted to the Project Manager who will then evaluate the requested scope change. Upon acceptance of the scope change request the Project Manager will submit the scope change request to the Change Control Board and Project Sponsor for acceptance. Project Scope Management Plan Upon approval of scope changes by the Change Control Board and Project Sponsor the Project Manager will update all project documents and communicate the scope change to all stakeholders. Based on feedback and input from the Project Manager and Stakeholders, the Project Sponsor is responsible for the acceptance of the final project deliverables and project scope.
