Class Museum Exhibition
Students will be required to produce a museum exhibit that will be featured in our classroom museum exhibition! The exhibit can
be anything of significance that was either covered in our unit (Plague doctors, Magna Carta, model of a castle, a shield with a
crest, draw bridge etc) or a medieval (1100-1500) artifact of significance to you that you would like to conduct your own
research on (See me for research ideas if you need some).
The Exhibit can either be a physical creation i.e a functioning drawbridge or a poster (piktochart), or it can be a digital exhibit, i.e
a website or video about a castle system. It “must” be able to be displayed in our classroom during the exhibition however, so if
it requires technology inform me ahead of time.
The second requirement for this assignment is to write a short reflection on the historical significance of the artifact, and relate
that significance to the overall theme of the unit. “Were the dark ages, really a dark age?” For example, does the magna carta
really reflect a dark age? Does advancements in medicine reflect a dark age? The black death, feudal systems, etc. How does
the artifact you created, reflect the broader society that it was created in? Were the dark ages truly a dark age? (1-2 pages,
250-500 words) Be specific.
Expectations: MHI.050, MHI.048, COM.062, IAN.061
