Describes the race that exists between the cheaters who are using steroids in enhancing their
ability in sports and those who are against the use of the drugs. Also illustrates the new
technologies that have been adopted by the athletes that involves boosting the number of
athlete’s blood. Relevant as it points out that the users and regulators must stop cheating.

Discusses the short- and long-term effects of steroids. It is a very important source as it
provides a background of the health effects of steroids and the justification of not using them.

Clearly illustrates the different types of steroids that are used. Further illustrates the working
of the various drugs and their side effect. Gives clear definition of terms and by providing the
negative effects of steroids it discourages the use of such drugs.
