Business Soft Skills: Define the following terms and write two
paragraphs for each on how you intend to use these skills to
improve your ability to acquire the career you want and have
future success.
Professionalism: Professionalism is important in a work environment because
the way you present yourself is very important. Acting professional helps you sell
things to people, whether it would be a product or an idea, selling things to
customers or companies is critical in the business world. Dressing nice and acting
nice gives the impression that you are experienced and that you know what
you’re talking about.
Professionalism helps me because dressing nice and acting professional gives a
good impression to my teachers or potential clients. Since I produce for some
people and draw for some people acting like an expert and being professional
helps me sell my product efficiently.
Ethics: Ethics in a work environment is helps you stay safe from any controversy
or bad review. Being an ethical person or employee can help you out with the
trust of customers or clients. If you lie it leaves a stain on your reputation. So just
being honest and ethical is just overall better.
Being ethical can help me sell my product because if I’m ethical I am also fair. I
could negotiate prices or work hours while being fair at the same time. This can
help my clients feel better and feel like they are talking to a professional.
Time Management: Time Management is important in a work environment.
This is because managing poorly can lead to a struggling business and unsettled
clients. Being good at time management can help get the trust of clients and
potential costumers and it can help you do tasks quicker and more efficiently.
Time Management can help me in my line of career because if I have 4 clients
asking for an animation or piece of art, It can be overwhelming. So managing time

correctly can help me get those clients what they want in a reasonable amount of
time. Leading them to trust me and give me more projects to work on.
Problem Solving: Problem solving is critical in having a healthy business. Being
able to solve problems quickly and efficiently can make your work faster and
make things easier to navigate or to solve. Being a fast problem solver can also
open more opportunities when it comes to jobs. Being good at solving issues can
get you high paying jobs and prestige’s positions in the work place.
Being a good problem solver is very important to my line of work because if I can
solve issues really fast my clients will feel more comfortable giving me work. This
also gives me more customers because if I work fast people will buy more from
me knowing a that I can give a fast and overall good product.
