Life-Saving Obstacle
Life is full of obstacles that face us; there are simple obstacles that we came
overcome easily and there are ones that are complex that contain great difficulty!
The more the individual overcome an obstacle in life, the more he becomes stronger
and more experienced in solving problems of life. In this essay, I will be talking
about an obstacle that was really difficult to solve but I overcame it.
The obstacle that I face was very special because it is related to my friend who
wanted to commit suicide due to the life pressure that makes him unhappy in his life.
This friend was living in a poor family where his father was killed by a bullet shot
during the Lebanese war in 2006. When this incident happened my friend was only
9 years old! Problems started facing my friend after his father’s death where he was
forced to leave school in order to support his mother and his four sisters.
Everything was going on the right track with my friend and he started to get
adapted to his way of living, until a day, he decided to commit suicide because his
mother that was suffering from severe heart disease! His mother needed a heart
operation surgery that will cost her $100,000. In this period, his salary was only
$400, so he could not afford the surgical costs and fees. Here, the huge obstacle of
my life started and it was to help him and stop him from committing suicide.
The first thing I started thinking about is how we can collect money for the
operation of his sick mother because I knew this was the only thing that could stop
him from ending his own life. Luckily after putting in the news his sad story, a person
from Qatar decided to give him a sum of $300,000 and a monthly salary and a work
in one of his companies in Beirut. Furthermore, I convinced him to go to a
psychologist that will him a lot.
In conclusion, I overcame a huge obstacle that was happening in my life that was
losing one of my most close friends. After this experience, I learned a big life lesson
that every problem in life has a solution if we think deeply! In addition, in my life,
every obstacle makes me stronger than before. So, don’t fall down if you face a
problem, instead start thinking of a solution for it.
