Great locations and grounds – Avani
BEV AROY
African style buildings with many blocks within excellent
kept grounds. It is within the Mosi-oa-Tunya national park
and literally 5 mins walk to the Falls (and unlimited free
access with your room key). We had zebra, monkeys,
giraffe and impala on site just wandering around - a sight to
behold. The food was excellent, indeed the breakfast
buffet was the best we encountered on our whole trip. The
staff were most obliging and friendly - I must make special
reference to Howard at the poolside bar and Selina on
reception (who organized my husband’s birthday cake)
The only comment on the downside, the bathroom was a
wee bit dated and could have done with a refurb to bring
up to standard, otherwise the room was fine. Mosquito
vaporiser was provided by the hotel, but luckily we didn’t
need it as we didn’t encounter any.
Absolutely massive pool, and although not heated the
water temperature was fine.

The Great getaway for the weekend – Aroy
The location is great to visit Victoria Falls. The rooms are very
comfortable.The hotel should have more options to make
some tours around the Falls.The main restaurant should
change daily the menu.
