INTRODUCTION
We will be making an enterprise architecture for Pakistan school which is located
in Isa Town, our group interviewed the IT head of the school and we gathered data
that we could use to perform our project.
The Pakistan School was founded in July 1968 by a group of enthusiastic Pakistani
nationals who felt the need for a separate school for imparting education to their
children.
At the time of commencement, the school was housed in a rented building in
Manama and the number of the students was 100 with a limited number of teachers
who were basically housewives.
With the gradual increase in the number of the students, the need was felt for the
construction of a school building. It was focused to provide all modern educational
facilities such as fully equipped laboratory, a well-stocked library, a large
playground, spacious classrooms and an auditorium.
H. E. Dr. Ali M . Fakhro, then Minister of Education, laid the foundation stone of
the school on January 10, 1983. H.E Salman Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa
performed the inauguration of the building on 23 March 1985.
The process of expansion continued and on 25 September, 1993, a new block
named as ‘Jinnah Block’ was inaugurated by H. E. Dr. Ali M. Fakhro on 05 June,
1995. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan inaugurated another block named as ‘Sir Syed
Block’ to provide the opportunities to meet the growing needs of the community.
Vision statement for Pakistan School is “to be a leading school in providing
holistic and quality education to its students to make positive contributions to
society.”
The Pakistan School, in collaboration with its stakeholders, is committed to:
1. provide a safe and conducive teaching and learning environment;
2. excel in students’ learning through quality education that produces competitive
school graduates and responsible citizens equipped with knowledge, skills and
ability to engage in life-long learning.

 ENTERPRISE ARTICHTURE
In our project we will be using TOGAF framework because we see that its suitable
for the organization as it’s a comprehensive general method and based in best
practices. TOGAF is an enterprise architecture framework that helps define
business goals and align them with architecture objectives around enterprise
software development. TOGAF is going to provide us clear links between business
and IT objects.
 TOGAF METHODLOGY
The Architecture Development Method (ADM) is the core of TOGAF as its a set
of architecture views to ensure that a complex set of requirements are adequately
addressed. As well as that its the proven way of developing an architecture which
is specifically designed to address business requirements and based in best
practices.
Requirements Management: Ensure that every stage of a TOGAF project is
based on and validates business requirements.
Preliminary: Prepares the organization for a successful architecture project.
A. Architecture Vision: Set the scope, constraints and expectations for the
TOGAF project; create the Architecture Vision; validate the business context;
create the Statement of Architecture Work.
B. Business Architecture: Develop Business Architecture Develop baseline and
target architectures and analyze the gaps.
4
C. Information Systems Architectures: Develop Information Systems
Architectures Develop baseline and target architectures and analyze the gaps.
D. Technology Architecture: Develop Technology Architecture Develop baseline
and target architectures and analyze the gaps
E. Opportunities and Solutions: Perform initial implementation planning;
identify major implementation projects
F. Migration Planning: Analyze costs, benefits and risks; develop detailed
Implementation and Migration Plan
G. Implementation Governance: Provide architectural oversight for the
implementation; ensure that the implementation project conforms to the
architecture
H. Architecture Change Management: Provide continual monitoring and a
change management process to ensure that the architecture responds to the needs
of the enterprise

expectations.
The effectiveness of issue handling.

Conclusion
The role of an enterprise architect is to enable the organization to be innovative
and respond rapidly to changing customer behavior. The enterprise architect holds
the long-term business vision of the organization and is responsible for the journey
it has to take to reach this target landscape. They support an organization to
achieve their objectives by successfully evolving across all domains; Business,
Application, Technology and Data The disciplines of Design Thinking and
Enterprise Architecture come from different backgrounds, and at a first glance it
might seem that there's not a whole lot that they have in common – but this is only
because design thinking techniques have traditionally been used for individual
products and services. This brings us to a conclusion based on our project
experience. There is always more to learn about Enterprise Architecture and
the Changing Enterprise.
