Name: What is the Recipe for the Best Pizza? Grade 7 Fractions, Decimals, and Percents Unit Project Scenario: You are a young entrepreneur who wants to open a pizza parlour that will serve the “best pizza in town.” In this project, you will combine your knowledge of fractions, decimals, percents, as well as your knowledge of pizza to create the recipe for the best pizza ever. You must present your pizza to be judged to a panel of pizza connoisseurs to determine if you indeed have the “best pizza in town.” Requirements: 1. Work with groups of 5-6 – you find your own group members. At least 2 people of the other gender, at least 2 people you do not usually work with. 2. Pizza box (teacher provided). 3. On the pizza box inside top cover (see picture), a table that indicates: a. Column 1: Ingredients b. Column 2: Ingredient ratio in fraction form c. Column 3: Ingredient ratio in decimal form d. Column 4: Ingredient ratio in percent form 4. Inside the pizza box – your actual pizza that you will make. You pizza must have: a. Dough for its crust (teacher provided) b.
