Following Directions Fun for Valentine’s Day
1. Fold a 12 X 18 sheet of white construction paper into
eight equal sections.
2. Number each section from one through eight, left to
right, top to bottom, with the paper held vertically.
3. In the center of the first section, draw a pink heart,
a red heart, and a purple heart in a single row. Draw
lace around the middle heart. Make a checkered
pattern inside the first and third hearts.
4. In the second section, write the words, Happy
Valentine’s Day, in big red letters. Decorate the
background with pink hearts.
5. In the third section, draw a picture of the thing you
love the most.
6. In the fourth section, draw a large flower in the
center. Draw a smaller flower in each of the four
corners of that section. Connect the four corner
flowers together with a green vine.
7. In the fifth section, draw one large heart in the
center. Draw polka dots inside the heart and stripes
in the background.
8. In the sixth section, draw two blue birds facing each
other. Color the background yellow.
9. In the seventh section, draw an array of one dozen
chocolates. Draw a box around them.
10. In the eighth section, draw a picture of yourself,
surrounded by the people you love. Write your name in
this section.
11. Glue or staple this paper to the back of your finished
art piece. Turn it in to your teacher! 
